In basic terms, an Adjustment or spinal manipulative therapy (SMT), refers to the process in which the doctor skillfully applies a controlled force into one or more restricted vertebrae of the spine. Adjusting can also be applied to many other joints of the body using extremity manipulative therapy (EMT). Examples include the jaw, ribs, knees, elbows, wrists & ankles, to name a few!

Dr. Jared was born and raised in Kitchener and attended the University of Waterloo, graduating Dean’s Honours List and received a Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology (Co-Op program) with a minor in Ergonomics and Injury Prevention. After working various ergonomic, health, safety and wellness jobs in the Waterloo Region, Dr. Jared attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), where he received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude. In his final year at CMCC, he was awarded the DV Hoskins and Samual F. Sommacal award for clinical proficiency during his internship. He was also awarded the Donald Bramham award for achieving the second highest average in his class during 4th year. He additionally holds certifications in Integrated Dry Needling and Mental Health First Aid. Dr. Jared is excited to return to Kitchener and to be serving the community he grew up in.

Dr. Jared uses an evidence-based, patient centred approach when treating. Using a combination of chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, modalities, integrated dry needling and exercise prescription, Dr. Jared treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions affecting everything from head to toe! He has a special interest in workplace and athletic injuries, healthy aging, and overall wellness.

Dr. Jared stays active by going to the gym, doing yoga and playing a number of sports including hockey, golf, tennis and pickle ball. When not at the clinic you can catch him working in the garden, manning the BBQ and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Nate Christopher BSc (HK), CSCS, DC

Between football, rugby, martial arts, back country canoeing, powerlifting, bodybuilding, and hiking, Dr. Nate is an avid mover who knows how important it to be able to do the things you love – pain free.

A graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and holding a double major in Honours French & Human Kinetics at the University of Guelph, Dr. Nate is passionate about sharing knowledge about the human condition and helping You find your fire again. He has honed his skills in educational techniques, movement based assessment and a variety of modalities to help get people just like you out of a painful state, and back to doing what you love most.

As a primary health care practitioner, Dr. Nate’s focus is on neuromusculoskeletal health, mobility and patient-centered care. He regards everyone as an athlete in their own right and believes in treating the person as a whole rather than the sum of its parts. He employs a variety of treatment styles tailored to fit the individual.

Dr. Nate has a background in personal training and nutrition counselling through his experience as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist. He understands how to progress someone from rehab to performance. In his free time he enjoys getting out of his comfort zone and spending time in the great outdoors. Thus far, to challenge his mind & body he has bicycled solo from Waterloo, ON to Halifax, NS, he has placed in Natural Bodybuilding competition, has both played & coached Football & Rugby, and has led Medical & Build trips to Guatemala.

Dr. Oosterhof was born and raised in the Waterloo Region. He studied at the University of Guelph where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Kinetics as well as a Master of Science Degree before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Since graduating Dr. Oosterhof has expanded on his therapeutic skills by completing the Neurofunctional Acupuncture program through McMaster University and enjoys integrating this into his treatments. He is also trained in the Paediatric Intraoral Palate Specific Technique (P.I.P.S). Dr. Oosterhof uses a multitude of techniques to help patients function at their best so that they can live their lives to the fullest potential.

Dr. Oosterhof loves to get involved within his community and is excited to be back in the Waterloo Region. His personal hobbies include playing the cello, violin and baking!
